Here is the close up;

The colors of the metallic powders just bounce
off of the black gluepad. I applied the gluepad directly
to the front of a white square card, heated it to activate
and then randomly dropped flecks of metallic powders onto
the black. With a paintbrush, I then swirled the powders
around..creating the background. The star is a three piece
chipboard set, also covered with metallic powders, copper
metal leaf and ultra fine prisma glitter....super star.

Hi Elaine - I followed your blog link from the "Lab" - I feel like I'm in the company of greatness! I've always admired your work for SS, not knowing your name to put to it. I'm wondering when you list 'metallic powders' what product it is you're using? I've gotta get the black glue pad and hope I already have the metallic powders you're using in my extensive shinies stash.
Thanks, Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for the good words..you're too kind. :)

The metallic powders I use are really Pearl-Ex, we also call them Accent Powders. It's one of those products where the name depends on who is wholesaling it!

Thanks again,

Elaine

Yahoo!
Pearl Ex! I've got lots.
It's the black glue pad
that shows them off so well.
Thanks for taking the time
to reply,
Melissa
