I'm back

Woo a hoo, I'm back! A big, huge thanks to Jen and Scott, mostly Scott :), my computer has recovered and I can finally get back to work! Here is a bit of what I've been working on in the meantime. I finally got my order of Stampscapes and some StampBord. http://www.stampbord.com/
Oh My G! I am in love. I almost went through the whole bag of Stampbord in one day. I've paced myself now..but let me just tell you that the Memories Mists dry on this surface quickly and with a great finish. I'm working to post more later!

Well..I've been under the weather this past weekend..and so has my computer. I don't know who gave who which virus first..but, they're both bad. I've been playing with Mists on Fabric, just got my Stampbord and Stampscapes order..already totally addicted! The Mists dry beautifully on the Stampbord. Great surface. I'll post some pics as soon as I can...

Digital Smooshing

So now I'm just trying to see how many blog posts I can insert the word smoosh into..:) Well, I don't have enough scenery stamps...never enough..so, anyway, I started thinking yesterday that I have the tags scanned..and I have some really fun photoshop brushes ( image brushes like from here; http://www.designfruit.com/jasongaylor/blog/ , why not try playing with them together? This is what I've done so far..oy..I've only just begun. I guess I can add digital art to the many uses of the Memories Mists! :)

San Francisco Mist

Ok..back to the art! This piece was created all with Memories Mists, utilizing a lot of the White, on arches watercolor paper. Using only a few masks and a die cut of the Golden Gate Bridge. In true life it stands about 14" tall..It reminds me of a nice foggy day at Stinson..:)

Feist Shirt!

I made this shirt for a very nice woman that I met at CHA in Anaheim. I had a shirt similar to this on display, and she asked me to make her one. Well, wouldn't you know that I lost her card and/or contact information. Bummer. So, I'm hoping that she frequents the blog and will see this post. Contact me so I can send this off to you! :)

LOVING the Memories Mists on t-shirts...by the by..:)

More Smoosh

More smoosh! I just can't get enough...well, with the passing of my dear cat Zoe last week..I surely needed a pick me up. Luckily for me, I craft and can easily get lost in a sea of color and glitter and forget the pain for a while..:) So, now that I'm feeling better..and I've made just about every kind of cat memorial possible, I present my newest favorite thing! Memories Mists Smoosh XL...These are the samples from my newest YouTube video, I just posted...be sure to check it out to see exactly how these were made!

This is the first sample made in the video, from Memories Mists Diet Cola, Whipped Cream, Blue Martini, Plum Sake and Pale Ale.

This is the second set from the video, with a base of Pale Ale, Bright Gold and Blue Martini..the tag on the right shows the effect of Ultra Clean stamp cleaner on the wet ink. Those big droplets are dry..these are all scans!

This tag set was also a base of Pale Ale, Gold and Blue Martini. In this one, I pulled a lot of the wet ink, as it was still pooled, with the straw of the Pale Ale mister..looks so cool and underwater-y.

This one I love! This was a base of Amaretto, a nice rich dark brown, and copper. This shows the fun effect of only a few really large droplets.

Ok..so I can't tell you what all went into this one. Not that I don't want to..there are just many, many layers and pull aparts and smooshes. Sometimes you have to just keep smooshing until you get the look you like. Somehow with this one I ended up with Queen Elizabeth. Could smooshing be the Tarot of our Century?
